Histiocytosis Program

Arizona’s only Histiocytosis team exclusively focused on the disease

Histiocytosis, often referred to as the “orphan disease,” is a rare blood disease that affects only about 1 in 200,000 children born each year in the US. Because of this, programs often receive little government funding. At Phoenix Children’s, much of our clinical and translational research funding comes through the Histiocyte Society of America.
