Conditions We Treat
Electrophysiology & Heart Rhythm Program
Here, we’ve compiled information about some of the more common conditions we treat. Don't see a condition you're looking for? Don't worry — we cover many more conditions than the ones listed here. Please, feel free to contact us with any questions — we have the staff ready and waiting to help.
It’s important to note that some children may be at risk for life-threatening arrhythmias because of an inherited condition in the sodium, calcium or potassium channels inside the heart. Conditions such as long QT, Brugada syndrome and catecholaminergic ventricular tachycardia require the expertise of a Phoenix Children’s cardiologist with specific training in these defects.
Other common arrhythmias include:
- Premature atrial contraction and premature ventricular contraction
- Supraventricular tachycardia
- Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome
- Ventricular tachycardia
- Sick sinus syndrome
- Complete heart block
- Long QT
- Brugada syndrome
- Catecholaminergic ventricular tachycardia
