Why Us?

Gastroenterology Department

Our Gastroenterology team consists of board-certified gastroenterologists, surgeons, nurse practitioners, specialized nurses, medical assistants and nutritionists working as a team to care for all of your child's healing needs.

Our department also offers a state-of-the-art, full-service laboratory using specialized equipment and techniques scaled for a child's smaller anatomy, including endoscopic and manometric evaluation. Our Pediatric Endoscopy Center is the first and only one in Arizona, allowing parents in the room to comfort their child.

Demonstrating our commitment to education and research, our Gastroenterology staff trains nurses and rotates pediatric and adult medicine students through its program. The physicians are also involved in research collaborations with the University of Arizona and the Translational Genomics Institute, studying inflammatory bowel, gastroesophageal reflux and microvillus inclusion diseases.

Accreditations and affiliations

All of our physicians are certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and Sub-Board in Pediatric GI/Nutrition. Our Gastroenterology Department is affiliated with the University of Arizona, the American Liver Foundation and Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
