Neuromuscular Program

Our experts diagnose and treat a variety of neuromuscular disorders — including congenital myopathies, muscular dystrophy, neuromuscular junction and inflammatory muscle disorders.

Children exhibiting the following symptoms are eligible for referral:

  • Elevated CPK
  • Progressive muscle weakness
  • Progressive deterioration of motor skills
  • Chronic muscle cramps
  • Family history of a neuromuscular disorder

Diseases of the neuromuscular junction

  • Myasthenia gravis
  • Lambert-Eaton (myasthenic syndrome)
  • Congenital myasthenic syndrome
  • Diseases of peripheral nerve
  • Charcot-Marie Tooth disease
  • Friedreich’s ataxia
