Research Expectations

  • Participate in a mentored abstract review for a national meeting (PAS or PHM) both years
  • Submit a clinical conundrum (for presentation at national meeting) and/or case report for publication
  • Submit your research abstract for presentation at a national meeting (recommend PAS or PHM)
  • Draft a manuscript for submission in a peer-reviewed journal

Teaching Expectations

   Participate in at least 1 simulation experience

   Facilitate at least 1 noon conference to PCH residents

   Facilitate at least 1 morning report to PCH residents

   Facilitate 1 Kidslink Journal Club each year

   Facilitate 1 PICU/EM/HM Case Conference presentation each year

   Facilitate 1 Kidslink Protected Case Review each year

Quality Improvement

  QI Curriculum – Obtain IHI Basic Certificate in Quality and Patient Safety

  Complete QI project with presentation at PCH Quality Day

  Participate in a PCH Hsopital Quality/Patient Care Committee of your choice

 

Advanced Degree Options

All fellows have access to obtaining a Master’s Degree (of their choice) through the University of Arizona with tuition remittance as a faculty member. A newly created program, Master’s in Clinical Research, will be available starting in 2020.
